OCPL Playwriting Group

A new writer’s group specifically for playwrights led by resident playwright Brian Walker.

Playwrights are invited to bring up to 10 pages of a play in progress.  We’ll read the pages out loud and provide feedback.  Everyone in attendance must be willing to read other playwright’s pages out loud.  Playwrights are required to provide hard copies of the pages to be read, one copy per role.

This program is for adults only and registration is required below. (registrations open Dec 3!)

In addition, for those playwrights interested, I will be providing a writing prompt to write a ten-minute play on a common theme.  Eventually, those ten minute plays will create an evening of staged readings for the public to be held at the beautiful Goshen Library in the near future. 

The hope is to continue that process and create a space where we’re holding at least one evening of public staged readings of ten minute plays a year at the Goshen Library. 

You are not required to be a resident of Oldham County to attend.  I will not be censoring content for the monthly meetings, so please be aware subjects and content may vary and some content may be offensive.
